Hao Ni : Originally born and raised in Hsin Chu, Taiwan, Hao Ni is a MFA student at RISD, who currently lives and works in Providence, RI.
Hao is interested in the geopolitical influences on culture and identity. In his most recent solo exhibition “Proximity” at Yellow Peril Gallery, Hao examines how identity is subdued by the everyday ritual in the domestic setting, as well as the relationship between the power dynamics in pet ownership and the religious submission to technology and speed.
