Meet Celebrity Guide Amy Leidtke

We at Gallery Night Providence are very excited to have Amy lead our 6:00 Contemporary tour this Thursday, November 20, 2014
Amy Leidtke is an industrial designer, artist, and educator. She is Principal of Leidtke Design, a consultancy that specializes in the planning, development, and design of innovative, interactive learning and play environments as well as hands-on educational products. Leidtke’s interest is in implementing collaborative strategies for inclusive design thinking, working with communities, institutions, and businesses to facilitate human-centered approaches to problem-solving and planning. She has experience with making design accessible, developing educational symposia, institutes, roundtables, and workshops for people of all ages. She is a faculty member at RISD, teaching in the Department of Industrial Design. She is co-founder of the Biennial Design Science Symposium. As faculty member at SmART Schools, she facilitates education institutes for K-16 educators and administrators. She is a Master Teaching Artist, on the Arts Education Roster of the RI State Council for the Arts. Leidtke is a recent Presidential Faculty Fellow through RI Campus Compact, and a current Biomimicry Institute Education Fellow. She is a public speaker, who advocates for equal access to quality arts education.
